Dianna T. Galvan

Dianna T. Galvan MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is an advanced practice registered nurse, a family nurse practitioner at the South Heart Clinic.  She has been a registered nurse for more than 25 years, practicing as a family nurse practitioner for the last eight years.  She has extensive clinical experience caring for the adult patient population.

Dianna received her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas in 1992.  After years of clinical nursing experience, she went on to pursue her graduate studies in nursing with a focus on family nurse practitioner.  She completed a Master’s degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner from the University of Texas-Pan American in 2011.

She has been practicing in cardiology with the South Heart Clinic since 2014 alongside her supervising physician, Eduardo D. Flores, MD, F.A.CC.

Dianna is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Texas Nurses Association.

She is a native of Harlingen, Texas and takes great pleasure in serving the medical needs of the patients in her community.

Mary F. Mitchell

Mary F. Mitchell, APRN, MSN-AGACNP-BC earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at the University of Texas-Brownsville and began working at Valley Baptist Medical Center in 2012 as a registered nurse. While working as a registered nurse in the adult Neuro/Trauma ICU, CCU, and MICU, Mary earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2015 and her Master of Science in Nursing-Advanced Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Texas-El Paso in 2019, where she became a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Mary has extensive experience working with adult cardiology patients at VBMC including working in PCCU, cath lab, and the adult ICUs. She began practicing as an AGACNP in 2020 with Cardiology and Pulmonary services and joined the South Heart Clinic full time in 2021. Mary was born and raised in Harlingen and is honored to provide a such a vital service to the people of her community.
